Suzie Millar

Suzie Millar graduated in law, before re-training as a Chiropractor. She established and operated two successful private chiropractor businesses, with a philosophy rooted in the ‘eat well, move well, think well’ school of practice. before alighting on the idea of establishing a purpose-driven food business with her husband Iain. Since that date, Iain and Suzie have developed a customer base that includes many of the most respected names in domestic and international luxury food retail. Their honey was recognised as best in class at the London International Honey awards, beating $250 Manuka honeys. They have also established and supported a sister conservation charity, RePollinate.

Iain Millar

Iain Millar left a ten year career in the investment management industry to work and study in the US. It was there that he was struck by the success of the purpose-driven business model. He resolved on his return to set up The Scottish Bee Company with his wife Suzie Millar. The Scottish Bee Company is a for-profit business that supports pollinators through the sale of premium honey and other foods. Since that date, Iain and Suzie have developed a customer base that includes many of the most respected names in domestic and international luxury food retail. Ther honey was recognised as best in class at the London International Honey awards, beating $250 Manuka honeys. They have also established and supported a sister conservation charity, RePollinate.

Tim Sykes

Tim Sykes’ career in the City of London included time as an II ranked analyst, a Treasurer, Government at UKFI and in investment banking. In 2020, Tim founded Fintech Connex and FintechAxis, which bring together strategic players with enabling Fintech companies. Tim also sits on the board of the Salcombe Brewery, and was named as one of Europe’s leading green angels by the FT Sifted Newsletter.

Peter Semple

Peter has spent over 20 years in the laundry sector mostly with Edinburgh based Professional Linen Services, where he led the development of the business from start-up to become one of the leading hospitality laundries in Scotland. PLS was sold to leading UK commercial laundry group, Johnsons Cleaners, in 2017. Peter is currently Managing Director of Shortridge Laundry.

Kelly Edge

Kelly has worked in sales for the past 14 years. Most recently spending 5 years at Diageo, where she lead key on trade client relationships and was part of the ASDA grocery team gaining invaluable insight into one of the big 4 chains.
